Pros: ended up with good size SUV Dodge Journey. Car clean fairly new and ran well. Pretty convenient shuttle, airport has counter for signing in, shuttle to get car short ride, staff at pickup were extra courteous and helpful. Smooth process there to get on our way.
Cons: Usual stuff about insurance, want $30 a day for full coverage. Threat about loss of use charge $500? All declined. At first couldn't find record of payment, but did eventually. Extra charge showed up on card pending but dropped of in a few days.

Pros: Good service and pick of minivans.
Cons: You cannot pay for the gas that you use. I had to pay for a full tank of gas and didn't even use half of it. They should bill for quarters of a tank. Not happy.

Car is not clean. Staff at the pickup and drop off are not friendly. Very laid back behavior, don't care about the people who are waiting with kids or elderly.
The promise of a vehicle type was not kept. The staff was not helpful
Had to wait an hour in line. Only one staff person for Thrifty/Dollar/Hertz. Then they told us we had to wait 1-1/2 hours to 2 hours for a car to be ready. Unacceptable when you order a car in advance.

Car was good, price was right. Not too long a wait to pick up car. Con: I had a question for Thrifty after I got the car, and it was nearly impossible to speak to someone. I finally found a number to call got the answer I needed, but only after a frustrating amount of time.

Easy and close to airport
Due to emergencies that are out of peoples control they should be a little more considerate as far payments for extensions.
The SUV was bait and switch, Range Rover or similar, We got a beat up Toyota Highlander , hole in the rug drivers side down to the floor , dings and dents all over , white pant splatter all over car, stuck on eco drive, couldn't go on highway, not enough pickup. Told We would have to wait 1 an hour plus for another car of any type or I could bring it back tomorrow with out a guarantee of a replacement vehicle or try another rental car company. I use thrifty a lot and this was the worst experience and worst vehicle since renting with SIXT rental car.
Pre paid for a truck but there was none available. I had to either Uber home for $56 or take what they had and drive home and then bring the car back. Complete fail. Waster of time. Thanks for not only wasting my time, but costing me money and aggravation.
The windshield wipers did not work. I found that out on my last evening driving on a highway when it rained. Luckily, I was able to pull into a rest area and the rain passed in a few minutes. I did report this when I returned the car.
I booked my rental through kayak, arrived at the location to pick up the car, my confirmation number was nonexistent, called thrifty was on the phone for 30 mns trying to figure out what's wrong, ended up canceling my rental because they couldn't figure it out, and refund my money, I had to rebook through the location directly which was more expensive, I paid for 3 days what I already paid for a week via kayak online. So annoying

It was wrong vehicle at the parking space. I was told to take it anyway. Then I was told it's not going to work. And I was told to take another. It was so small I couldn't get my bag in it's trunk. So I asked for the vehicle I ordered. In about 40 minutes later I was able to get what I ordered originally. Total time waisted about an hour and 15 minutes.

Windshield was filthy and there was a chip in the glass that turned into a crack.
Long wait to receive your car
Car was not properly filled with gasoline as stated on the contract. Led to difficulties when we returned it. I had receipts and the manager was very helpful resolving the issue. Should never have happened. Passenger seat had white stains; looked like paint or whiteout. The Hyundai electronic driver assists did not function as they should have and had to be disabled each time the car was started.
Pick up and return was the worst I have ever experienced, even during Thanksgiving or Christmas. Billing was incorrect. Charged for gas after filling up 10 minutes b/4 return. What did I like? Nothing
I had to wait almost an hour and a half until the car was ready for me. When the car did come it was dirty. Also the Apple CarPlay component of the car did not work and so my phone will not interface making navigation a challenge. I understand that there are challenges with rental cars right now however if a car is leased to me it should be available within a reasonable band of time. There were plenty of cars on the lots if they do not have what I ordered they should substitute it and not make me suffer. The entire per force of my visit to Florida was the with my mother who is dying and they wasted a valuable two hours for me. I will never use Dollar again.
Don't like being lied to that you will get certain car they actually have and not getting it. Don't like being lied to that I should return car and you put in gas because gas price is $4.30 per gallon when as soon as I drove out, it was $4.09. I did not take the bait. Touch screen and radio had issues.

Really friendly staff, efficient process overall...very streamlined. I did not feel like the gas fill up option was adequately explained to me. That's my only complaint. Great value overall and for a last minute pickup.
Awful car choices. Paid $600 for a very low model car that was not cleaned properly and shook terribly when driving on the highway

This Hertz location was easy to deal with. My only comment would be if renting through Kayak, make sure you pay attention to where the pickup location is. My belief was I was picking up at the airport based on my search criteria. To my dismay I was told I had rented off the airport and had to take a taxi to the location.
Hertz changed my reservation without telling me. My weekly rate was $429. I extended my rental an extra week. When I dropped off the car, I was charged $1359.61. I am extremely disappointed with Hertz and Kayak.
Drop off was quick and easy, but the pick was long and tedious, and the lot attendants were very rude.
Pick up was awful. Long wait. Under staffed.

The Hertz pickup at the airport took long, but otherwise, it was a great car - super clean and delightful. The dropoff and bus back were quick!
The Hertz location that I booked on Travelocity was nowhere near the airport. When I got to the airport that facility was closed. I had to go to the airport hertz facility and charged extra money taxes etc. The car had a shimmy in the wheel it was a Chevy trailblazer and a wobbly steering wheel. The window had been scratched by something that where they had put a sticker on it at some point. The driver side window. Absolute disaster.

Picking up the car at the West Palm Beach airport, I watched several shuttles from each of the other car rental companies pass by before the Budget shuttled appeared. The guy at the counter tried to upgrade me on vehicle and services I didn't want. They didn't have the class of vehicle I reserved (standard SUV such as Ford Edge) and put me in a Toyota 4Runner which got horrible gas mileage - on my trip of about 1600 miles it probably cost me at least an extra $100 in gas. The best part of the rental was the return - the attendant in the parking lot was very friendly and helpful. This was my first Budget rental. I usually rent from Avis, which also doesn't give me the type of vehicle I reserve, or Hertz, which does, but costs much more on one-way rentals.

Great service! Last minute rental after flight cancellation. They were life savers!!
They overbooked . Waited 3 hrs for a car. Poor drop off no receipt given that I dropped off the car. Never Willis's e budget again.
This was the worst rental car experience ever. There were at least 25 people in line and three people working at the counter and one of those left after about a half hour. I waited over an hour in line. The car I got had been washed on the outside but was filthy. The inside windows looked like they had never ever been cleaned. Dust was everywhere in the car. When I returned the car the shuttle driver was rude and drove twice the speed limit. I will never rent with Budget again.
I was in town for business. I waited in line for more than 1hr to pick up the car. When I received the car, there was sand everywhere. Ultimately, I was charged $200 to extend my rental an extra 2 hours. Horrible experience with Budget. Turo is a new car share company and a great alternative to Budget and other mainstream car rental companies.
Took forever to get our rental car, only 2 workers at the desk, very poor customer service.
Horrible car, did not accommodate our luggage, took us over an hour to get our bags and car seats in the car, charged an extra day bc of a few hours, horrible customer service

Appreciated Budget's flexibility when I turned car in early.
The car I reserved was not available all they had were minivans they did not have us enough staff to serve customers the line at the airport was too long the line at the rental pick up was too long Ended up with a Kia soul Took longer to rent a car then to fly to Florida !

Pros: The staff was absolutely amazing!! They woman at the front seriously helped me and walked me through everything I needed to know, and informed me of each added on expense so there were no suprises. She had empathy like no other and really made sure i was taken care of. The young man whom I returned the car to was very nice and made sure I a ride home before returning the vehicle. Honestly the best staff you'll ever meet!
Cons: Ace may have a lot of loop holes when it come to added om expenses, which is probably expected from renting, I had placed too much faith in a reliable range of reasonable additives, but it was a little crazy in that regard. The price you pay on kayak should be the only expense.

Pros: From the checking in to the returning. The service was superior. The vehicle was clean and ready to go!

Hidden Cost
Pros: The shuttle arrived in a timely manner to transport us to the off airport location. Our vehicle was ready and waiting when we arrived. The manager said that he gave us an upgrade but I have no way to know if that happened.
Cons: I did not like that the rental office was not open when we wanted to return the car which resulted in an extra cost for me. I returned the car to the long term parking area at the airport which was fine. But I got charged $11 for the parking fee which is a cost that I was not expecting when I made the reservation. The car also did not have cruise control or a digital speedometer. I didn't rent the cheapest class available so I was surprised to not have what I consider very basic equipment on the vehicles of today.
There should be better coordination / instructions from Kayak
Pros: The car was very nice and affordable. The people at the ACE agency were pleasant and cooperative.
Cons: There were no instruction on the rental agreement from Kayak that the customer should CALL the agency for pickup upon arrival. The other companies vans came and left several times before we finally called the agency and figured out that a call was required to initiate a pickup at the airport. This should not reflect on ACE - it should reflect on KAYAK - if I had known to make that call I would have saved a lot of time.

Cons: I didn't receive the car I had reserved, there was no car for me to pick up at noon, when promised, asked if they would call me when my car came in nobody called. I finally went there all they had was a downgrade car so I took . I was told that the manager would call me on Saturday, which she never did, The car I received from them had mechanical problems 5 minutes after I received it but they had already closed long story short ended up at the airport and finally at 7pm I was given a car too small subcompact, from an SUV original reserved to that. The 3rd person in our group was smashed in the backseat with the luggage. Very disappointed with enterprises and want money back
Cons: Car was not available upon arrival or for days after. I understand it was high season but whats the point of making a reservation if Enterprise won't honor it. Never again, Enterprise!

Amazing
Pros: Ali, the gentleman who took us to our rental was very sweet. He struck up a conversation as we walked through the lot and was very helpful! He was also super cute an I wish I gave him my number ;)
Cons: The desk girl tried checking me into the wrong reservation an then needed to get assistance from someone else instead of just asking for my reservation paperwork.

Cons: I didn't like thst I was booked for pickup at an offsite rental place and was told if I wsnted the vehicle in order to pickup I could take a cab or Uber! Asked rep to change pickup sote and eas told could not called 800 # spoke to a representative who also ssid it could not be changed. I will most likely be renting somewhere else the Customer Service was horrible. Very disappointed!

I switched to Avis, but what i had to return the vehicle after few weeks of my rental, and even though i paid for the whole month, yet i did not get any refund for the 12 days left. not sure if this is a policy at Avis but definitely this will be a question i have to ask any whether or not i will get my money back and if not, then i have to move on to another.
Having the car I reserved and not telling me "we have no cars"! My last resort was a pickup truck - or walk, I took it and then found out my vacation resort does not allow pickups!
I reserved and prepaid for an SUV exactly a week prior to pickup in West Palm Beach. Upon arrival I was told they had no SUVs. I asked for a family van and was told they had none. I asked how long I needed to wait. I was told that it was not until the following day that they "may" get one in. I ended up Ubering to another rental car company. Had to pay nearly double the rate Avis charged me for their phantom vehicle because I had no advance reservation
I flew into West Palm but was directed to an Avis location in downtown which I had to reach by taxi- very inconvenient. I had a reservation for a full sized car - none were available so I was provided a smaller car with no discount. The reservation was set up for Noon to Noon. I asked to adjust it to 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM because I arrived early. They refused and charged me $40 for the extra hour. So I paid more and got less. Really disappointing.
Car was old, scratched up and wiper blades were awful.

The SUV we rented was not available so we rented a full size car that worked out.
I had to take a cab to pick up the car. It cost me $30 so I was not happy!!!!
Kayak/Priceline had us picking up our car not at the airport like we thought but rather off location. To make matters worse, that location closed at 12 noon. This was the time of the scheduled pick up as per our contract. Needless to say, we were stranded on a Sunday with no car. Amazingly, the kind gentleman at the airport Avis cut us a deal and got us a car. We got lucky.

The agent who served us was wonderful. He was friendly, polite, accommodating and very knowledgeable. He was the only agent on duty, had a line forming, and took the time to greet each person and say that he would be with them shortly. Excellent customer service. The interior could have been a little cleaner and the interior windshield had spray stains on it that impacted our vision at night. All in all, great experience.

The first car shook when you went 40 mph or more, and had a dirty interior windshield. The second car that replaced it, had a driver's side seat belt that was broken. The third car was okay, but I had no windshield washer fluid. All of this car changing was very stressful, as it made me late for a medical appointment. I would never rent from them again. The people that I interacted with at Sixt were all very nice.

This was the ONLY company that let me rent a car in FL and drop it off in GA 2 days later. All other companies required me to rent for 1+ weeks. I had never heard of Sixt before; will definitely be renting from this company again!

Pros: We are very rare car rental shoppers. Overall the service was what I would expect to better. Car was clean and received upgrade when vehicle we reserved was not available.
Cons: Received damaged vehicle which we brought up to agent. She said they knew and it was documented on our rental, but I think it should have came up immediately when we got the keys. Also required $200 refundable deposit? Not sure why, they had our credit card info and we did purchase insurance. Had to wait multiple business days after rental to have deposit refunded.

Pros: We were lucky enough to met Megan... she way great and assisted us with every of our needs.
Cons: The opportunity to choose a different color of the car. We had a new Mercedes Van ( which was perfect) by we lived by the sea and Black was not so ideal for us.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and courteous.
Cons: I was a bit confused as I arrived at the airport. I was not certain on the Pickup procedure because my flight was rather late. Your website gives clear information on late night rental returns. However the late Pickup information needs to be more clear.
Pros: No. They close too early. Then you have to pay for a taxi to go to a different location and pay more. No thanks.

Loved the car. Rav 4 was comfortable, easy to operate, clean, spacious and it ended up being an upgrade for me. Check out was lengthy. It was around 8 pm at PBI. There was a considerable wait as there were several people waiting in line to get cars. It was confusing because the paperwork was processed in the Enterprise office and there was no signage to indicate this. The National office was right there but was closed. Check in was very easy and quick.
Cons: i reserved a convertible and it was not available at pickup waited 40 minutes in line at pick up. wont use your service or company again

Cons: Terrible. I went to pick up the 15 person van I had reserved only to find confusion and unprofessionalism. They didn't even have a van large enough, and moreover we were never told they don't allow their vehicles to leave Florida. I would NEVER recommend them.
